Scott McTominay has resumed training with Napoli following a heart procedure performed last month. The 29-year-old Scotland international underwent a corrective ablation at Spire Manchester Hospital after being diagnosed with a mild, benign arrhythmia in September. The treatment was deemed successful, and he was subsequently prescribed a period of rest before rejoining the Serie A club.

Napoli confirmed on Wednesday that McTominay had passed further diagnostic tests and had been cleared to return to full training. The club shared images of the midfielder training alongside teammates ahead of their upcoming match against Frosinone. A short statement noted that after completing additional evaluations, McTominay is now fit to participate fully and has resumed team activities following a spell of separate training during his recovery.

McTominay appeared in two games this season before his heart condition was detected. He last played in the Serie A fixture against Como, coming off after 56 minutes. The former Manchester United player had previously reassured followers of his progress via social media, expressing optimism about a swift recovery.
