Sean Ono Lennon, son of legendary musician John Lennon and artist Yoko Ono, and his partner Charlotte Kemp Muhl have announced the birth of their first child. The couple welcomed a son named Aurelius, sharing the news via social media on September 3, 2026.
In a post, Sean Lennon, 50, humorously referred to their newborn as a “Human Bean” and expressed gratitude to supporters. The announcement included a photograph of the couple holding Aurelius, as well as an additional image of Muhl resting in a hospital bed following the delivery.
Charlotte Kemp Muhl, a 39-year-old American musician and model originally from Atlanta, Georgia, also shared photos of herself with the child. She commented on the experience of childbirth and parenthood, noting the surreal nature of sleep deprivation and reflecting on the complexity of DNA.
The couple met in 2005 at the Coachella music festival and have since collaborated professionally, notably through their musical duo The Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger. Sean Lennon has been involved with several musical groups over the years and released three solo albums.
Sean is the only son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, who were married in 1969. After The Beatles disbanded in 1970, John Lennon pursued a solo career, releasing 11 studio albums through various projects, including work with Yoko Ono and the Plastic Ono Band. John Lennon was tragically killed in New York City in December 1980.
This milestone marks a new chapter for Sean Ono Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl, continuing a family legacy closely tied to music and artistic expression.
