England’s Jack Senior carded a second-round 65 to move into a tie for second place at 10 under par during the BMW International Open in Munich. The 37-year-old Senior, aiming for his first victory on the DP World Tour in his 151st event, recorded five birdies and an eagle in what was the day’s best score at Golfclub München Eichenried.
Senior shares second place with South Africa’s Michael Hollick, who shot a 68, and Mexico’s Carlos Ortiz, whose 67 helped him stay in contention. All three are one stroke behind the leader, South African Hennie du Plessis, who surged ahead with an eagle on the final hole of the round to take outright command of the tournament.
Meanwhile, English players Joe Dean and Paul Waring each posted rounds of 69 and sit on nine under par, tied alongside American Brad Dalke. Dalke, making his DP World Tour debut courtesy of a sponsor invitation, has combined his professional pursuits with a presence as a golf-focused YouTuber.
The BMW International Open continues to offer players a platform to compete at a high level as they seek to secure victories and improve their standing in the DP World Tour rankings.
