Trained by Samantha McGuren, the horse secured a decisive 1.8-length victory over 1400 meters in a Class 4 race, indicating readiness for a step up to a mile distance.

The gelding has competed nine times on soft tracks, achieving two wins and placing in several other races. His overall record stands at two wins, two seconds, and one third from nine starts, with a winning strike rate of 22.2% and a place rate of 44.4%. Satin and Cash’s racing history includes a variety of ground conditions, with performances on firm, good, soft, and heavy surfaces.

Prior to his recent win, Satin and Cash ran fourth in a 1640-meter Benchmark 66 race at Grafton on July 5. Despite a slow start and encountering traffic issues near the final 200 meters, he finished just under two lengths behind the winner. That race served as a precursor to his better showing in the subsequent outing.

Jockey J. Bayliss rode Satin and Cash to victory in the July 16 race, where the gelding completed the 1400-meter distance in 1:23.08. The win followed a brief freshening period, and connections now appear confident in the horse’s potential to maintain strong form as he steps up in distance.

With the current form and conditioning, Satin and Cash is considered a contender to continue his winning streak in upcoming events, particularly over a mile, where his recent performances suggest improved competitiveness.
