Kuwaiti authorities have arrested a man accused of manufacturing and trafficking methamphetamine, locally known as "shabu," in a recent drug bust in the Kabd area. The arrest came after a targeted investigation and surveillance operation led by the general department of narcotics control.

The suspect was taken into custody at his residence in Saad Al-Abdullah, where officers uncovered two kilograms of methamphetamine, as well as raw materials used in the production of psychotropic substances. Additionally, cash believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking was found concealed in an underground pit near the site where the drugs were manufactured.

During questioning, the individual admitted to producing methamphetamine at a livestock pen in Kabd and confirmed that the seized funds were profits derived from his involvement in drug trafficking activities.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, who reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eradicating drug-related crimes. Sheikh Fahad emphasized that authorities would continue to intensify efforts to dismantle narcotics networks and would enforce the law with strict measures against anyone jeopardizing Kuwait’s security or public safety.

This latest crackdown reflects Kuwait’s ongoing campaign to combat drug trafficking and curb the spread of illegal substances within its borders.
