Canadian actor Simu Liu and Allison Hsu were married over the weekend in a ceremony held in France, according to reports. The couple, who announced their engagement in May 2025, have been publicly together for several years.

Liu, 37, best known for his role as the Marvel superhero Shang-Chi in the 2021 film *Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings*, and Hsu, 30, who serves as vice-president of digital marketing at Interscope Records, first revealed their relationship on Instagram in November 2022. Since then, they made their red carpet debut together that same month at the premiere of *Violent Night* in Los Angeles.

The engagement was made public via a joint Instagram post in May 2025, which included photos of Liu proposing near the Eiffel Tower and Hsu displaying an engagement ring. Both expressed their commitment in accompanying captions, with Liu writing of their shared experiences and his dedication to Hsu. Hsu later shared additional photos from the proposal in December 2025, describing it as the best day of the year.

In September 2026, Hsu hinted that their wedding was imminent by sharing images from her bachelorette party held in Tulum, Mexico.

Liu is set to reprise his role as Shang-Chi in the upcoming Marvel film *Avengers: Doomsday*, scheduled for release in Singapore on December 17, 2026. At the San Diego Comic-Con fan convention in July, Liu described his character as having grown into a more confident and self-assured version of himself since the previous film.

The marriage marks a new chapter for the couple as Liu continues to expand his acting career while Hsu maintains her prominent role in the music industry.
