The Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) has introduced a new unified visual identity to coincide with its 20th anniversary, consolidating the authority and its network of 20 museums under a cohesive design reflective of the emirate’s cultural heritage and future aspirations. The rebranding initiative aims to enhance SMA’s cultural presence both locally and on the international stage while reaffirming its ongoing commitment to heritage preservation, knowledge expansion, and educational engagement.

Maissa Saif Alsuwaidi, director-general of the Sharjah Museums Authority, emphasized that the refreshed identity embodies the organisation’s mission and strategic goals. She highlighted that the updated design underscores SMA’s dedication to maintaining museums as dynamic environments for learning, discovery, and intercultural dialogue.

With two decades of activity, the authority is seeking to accelerate its development by leveraging this new unified branding. The approach is intended to strengthen the visibility and influence of Sharjah’s museums in the cultural sector, supporting the broader ambition to position the emirate as a regional and global hub for cultural exchange and education.

The new visual identity serves as both a tribute to Sharjah’s rich heritage and as a representation of the authority’s forward-looking vision, aligning with its efforts to expand public access to cultural resources and foster a deeper understanding of the arts and history.
