Henry Shefflin has finalized his backroom team for the Kilkenny senior hurling squad ahead of the upcoming season. David Herity has been appointed as head coach, joining Shefflin in leading the team’s preparations and strategy. Former Kilkenny player PJ Delaney will also take on a coaching role, bringing his experience from his playing days in Johnstown to the squad.

The backroom team is further strengthened by the inclusion of David Mulcahy from James Stephens, who will contribute to the coaching efforts. Additionally, Darragh Mulcahy has been named as head of strength and conditioning, tasked with overseeing the physical preparation and fitness of the players.

Shefflin replaces Derek Lyng, who stepped down following Kilkenny’s defeat by Dublin in the Leinster Championship, a loss that resulted in their exit from the competition. The new team is expected to guide Kilkenny as they look to regain their competitive edge in the coming hurling season.
