Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), held separate meetings on June 8 with the ambassadors of Saudi Arabia and India to discuss strengthening sports cooperation between Qatar and the two countries. During the meetings, Sheikh Joaan engaged with Prince Saad bin Mansour bin Saad bin Saud bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador, and Vipul, India’s ambassador.
The discussions focused on reinforcing bilateral relations and exploring opportunities to enhance collaboration in the sports sector. Both sides expressed interest in developing partnerships aimed at exchanging expertise and advancing joint initiatives in sports and Olympic affairs. The meetings highlighted Qatar’s commitment to fostering regional and international cooperation in sporting activities and leveraging shared experiences to support mutual growth in athletics and related fields.
