Shepshed Dynamo overcame an early deficit to secure a 3-2 victory against Carlton Town at the Bill Stokeld Stadium on Saturday. After a slow start, Shepshed gradually gained control of the match, creating several scoring opportunities.

The breakthrough came around the 30-minute mark when sustained pressure following a corner kick led to Jack Butterfill converting from close range after a scramble in the Carlton Town penalty area. Shortly after the interval, Shepshed doubled their advantage through a long-range effort from Reuben Wyatt, who struck a measured shot to extend the visitors’ lead. Declan Peart then headed in a third goal from the back post, putting Shepshed in a strong position as they appeared to be comfortably in control.

Carlton Town staged a late comeback with two goals during stoppage time. Abdul Bakare and Niall Davie each found the net to reduce the deficit and add urgency to the match's closing moments. Despite the late goals, Shepshed Dynamo’s performance over the course of the game secured them a deserved victory.

A notable moment in the first half saw Carlton Town’s goalkeeper Dan Jezeph produce a superb save to deny Jamal Adams, who had been set free inside the box following good build-up play down Shepshed’s left flank.

The result reflects Shepshed Dynamo’s resilience and ability to respond positively after an initial slow start, ultimately allowing them to claim all three points on the day.
