Fallon Sherrock claimed a £500,000 prize by defeating Luke Littler in a live darts event streamed on Netflix on October 30 at Manchester Central. The victory marked a significant upset as Sherrock became the first challenger to overcome Littler in the tournament, which featured 15 previous contenders—all unsuccessful—trying to beat the two-time world champion.

The event was structured so that the contest would end as soon as a challenger defeated Littler in a single leg of 501. Sherrock secured the win by finishing from 43 on double top after winning the bull-off to earn the throw. Under intense pressure, she completed the leg in 15 darts, prompting lively celebrations in the arena. The win represents the largest prize of Sherrock’s career.

Sherrock, 32, hailing from Milton Keynes, is recognized as one of the most prominent figures in women’s darts. She rose to international attention during the 2020 PDC World Darts Championship, where she became the first woman to win a match at the tournament by defeating Ted Evetts and later secured a further win against Mensur Suljovic. Outside of darts, Sherrock is a qualified hairdresser.

During an onstage interview with presenter Gary Lineker, Sherrock expressed her emotions about the victory, highlighting the presence of her son Rory, who attended his first darts event. “Honestly, I can’t put into words how I feel, especially with Rory being here,” she said. “It was a great moment, and I’m going to remember this forever.”

Luke Littler, 19, acknowledged Sherrock’s performance as “world-class” and reflected positively on the experience. “I’ve enjoyed every bit of it – the ad, the photo shoots, just everything leading up to this. It’s been good,” he said, adding the possibility of returning for another event next year.

The Netflix darts special attracted a global audience and reinforced Sherrock’s status as a trailblazer in the sport, particularly in promoting the visibility of women in professional darts.
