Shokz has introduced its latest wireless earbuds, the OpenDots 2, aiming to provide an alternative to conventional in-ear designs with active noise cancellation. Unlike earbuds that fit inside the ear canal, the OpenDots 2 employ an open-ear design that clips onto the ear, combining integrated speakers with bone-conduction technology to deliver sound while allowing users to stay aware of their surroundings.

The earbuds feature a flexible nickel-titanium JointArc frame, designed to adapt comfortably to various ear shapes. This makes the OpenDots 2 suitable for a range of activities, from outdoor running to office work where environmental awareness is important. Despite their open design, the earbuds include several premium features such as Dolby Audio support, touch controls for music and calls, and AI-powered noise reduction to enhance call clarity by minimizing background noise.

Battery performance is a key aspect of the OpenDots 2, offering up to 10 hours of listening on a single charge, with additional battery life provided by a compact charging case. The device also holds an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance, rendering it suitable for workouts in various weather conditions. The OpenDots 2 are priced at £179 and are currently available through retailers including Argos and Amazon.

In addition to the premium model, Shokz has launched the OpenDots Air as a more affordable option priced at £129. While offering a slightly reduced feature set, the OpenDots Air still provide up to nine hours of battery life, water resistance, a lightweight design, and seamless pairing across multiple devices.

Both product lines reflect Shokz’s continued focus on open-ear audio solutions, appealing to users who prefer to remain connected to their environment rather than isolated by traditional noise-canceling earbuds.
