Sidra Medicine and Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som, both members of Qatar Foundation, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop integrated wellness and preventive health programs. The agreement was formalized on June 1 during a ceremony attended by Mohammed Khalid al-Mana, acting CEO and Board of Governors member at Sidra Medicine, and Ammar Samad, general manager of Zulal Wellness Resort.

The partnership seeks to leverage Sidra Medicine’s clinical expertise alongside Zulal Wellness Resort’s holistic approach to well-being in order to create medically supported wellness and preventive health initiatives tailored for Sidra Medicine’s patients. Key areas of focus include clinical oversight, lifestyle and nutrition programs, diagnostic and preventive services, as well as professional education and training.

Zulal Wellness Resort, noted as the first wellness facility dedicated to Traditional Arabic and Islamic Medicine (TAIM), will collaborate with Sidra Medicine to design personalized wellness, therapeutic, and lifestyle enhancement treatments. These offerings will integrate TAIM’s traditional healing practices with Sidra Medicine’s advanced medical therapies.

Mohammed Khalid al-Mana described the collaboration as a significant step toward combining clinical excellence with wellness innovation. “By working together, we can further enhance patient and family wellbeing through comprehensive and personalised care experiences,” he said.

The initial phase of the program will center on expanding Sidra Medicine’s Women’s Services. This includes postpartum recovery support, mental health and preventive care services, wellness education, referral pathways, and wellness options available within hospital settings.

Ammar Samad emphasized the shared commitment of both organizations to advancing wellness and preventive healthcare in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. He stated the partnership aims to deliver meaningful wellness experiences that promote sustained well-being for patients and the wider community.

This MoU marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration intended to enhance wellness, recovery, and preventive healthcare offerings within Qatar, while fostering innovation across medical and wellness sectors.
