Silsden secured a commanding 4-2 victory over Bridlington Town in their Northern Premier League East fixture on Sunday. The match, held at Silsden’s home ground, saw the hosts take an early lead through Zak Kahn, who converted a cross from Luke Brooksbank in the 12th minute.

Silsden extended their advantage in the 32nd minute when Cameron Bedford capitalized on a goal-mouth scramble to double the score. Bridlington Town responded just before halftime with a remarkable long-range effort from Casey Stewart, who lobbed the goalkeeper from the halfway line, aided by the wind, reducing the deficit to 2-1.

In the second half, Silsden continued to press and restored their two-goal lead in the 75th minute. Kahn provided the assist to Brooksbank, who found the net to make it 3-1. Bridlington worked hard to remain in contention, but Silsden sealed the win with a goal from Jakub Hebda in the 86th minute, who headed home to put the match out of reach.

A late goal from Bridlington’s Riley Cooper in stoppage time offered a consolation, finishing the game at 4-2. The result moves Silsden higher in the Northern Premier League East standings as they continue their campaign this season.
