Chin2 Bhosle, grandson of the late singer Asha Bhosle, has released a new song titled "Chalte Chalte" as a heartfelt farewell to his grandmother. The track, which debuted on Wednesday, carries significant emotional weight for Chin2, who is also a member of the band Band of Boys.

The song was originally written for Asha Bhosle, who listened to it before it was formally recorded. According to Chin2, upon hearing the piece, she became visibly upset, remarking that its themes of separation were too painful for her to endure. This reaction was linked to her own profound personal losses, including the deaths of two of her children, Hemant and Varsha.

After Asha Bhosle's passing on April 12 at the age of 92, Chin2 returned to the song and recorded it himself as a tribute. He described the process as both instinctive as a musician and emotionally challenging as a grandson. The release was accompanied by a video montage showcasing moments shared between Chin2 and his grandmother, framing the song as a personal dialogue between them.

Chin2 expressed that while he finds it impossible to fully carry forward the artistic legacy of Asha Bhosle, he is committed to upholding the values she embodied. He emphasized that honoring her memory means respecting those principles in both his music and personal choices, stating that any continuation of her legacy must be done with dignity.

This release highlights Chin2’s effort to both memorialize Asha Bhosle and connect with her influence in a manner that respects the deep familial bond they shared.
