American singer Chris Brown has been ordered to pay $13 million to his former housekeeper following a dog attack at his residence in Tarzana, California, in 2020. Maria Avila was injured when Brown’s 200-pound Caucasian shepherd dog mauled her while she was emptying rubbish outside the property.

Avila sustained severe scarring to her face and left arm as a result of the attack. During the two-week trial, it was revealed that Brown left the scene without contacting emergency services after the incident occurred.

The court’s ruling requires Brown to provide financial compensation covering Avila’s medical expenses and other damages related to the injuries she suffered. The case highlights ongoing concerns about liability in incidents involving dangerous animals on private property.

Legal representatives for both parties have not commented publicly on the decision.
