Four minors and two young women have been indicted for the stabbing death of 19-year-old Benayahu Razi in Jerusalem last month, according to court documents released on Friday. Prosecutors assert that the group deliberately planned and executed the attack following a personal dispute connected to Razi’s former partner.

Among the seven individuals charged, six face murder and aggravated assault accusations, while a seventh is charged with aiding the suspects after the incident and obstruction of justice. The six charged with murder include 19-year-old Agam Tzarfati, 20-year-old Shilat Huta, and four minors aged approximately 15 to 17. Linor Sasson, 46, is alleged to have helped the group evade authorities after the killing.

Prosecutors claim that Tzarfati and Huta initiated and coordinated the assault alongside the four minors. The minors, equipped with weapons including knives, a metal baton, razor blades, and other objects, are accused of carrying out the physical attack that resulted in Razi’s death. Tzarfati reportedly remained in a car outside during the stabbing, while Huta was present during the confrontation and made a video call to Tzarfati, enabling others to observe the attack in real time.

The violence took place at an Airbnb apartment on Shirilzi Street in Jerusalem on July 10, following a weekend during which Tzarfati and Huta had invited Razi and a friend to stay with them. According to indictments, a confrontation erupted the day after the group gathered, but prosecutors have not clarified the details of the initial altercation.

On the day of the killing, prosecutors said Tzarfati and Huta left the apartment after claiming that Razi had been violent towards them. They met with Sasson and the four minors, who then armed themselves and decided to confront Razi and his friend again, expressing an intent to “finish him.” Sasson later drove the group to the vicinity of the apartment, though she reportedly warned them not to act violently.

When Huta and the minors approached the apartment, they found Razi and his friend nearby and convinced them to return inside, allegedly to discuss the dispute. Inside, the minors confronted Razi about alleged violence toward Tzarfati, which he denied. The situation quickly escalated when one minor attacked Razi with a metal baton, followed by further assaults involving knives and other weapons. Razi sustained multiple stab wounds, including one that penetrated his chest cavity and struck his heart, causing fatal blood loss.

Razi’s friend was also injured during the attack, suffering cuts and blunt force trauma. After the assault, the group fled. Authorities report that knives were discarded or wiped clean during the escape, and Sasson subsequently picked up the suspects. One of the minors went into hiding for more than two weeks before being arrested on July 28, after police released his name and photo publicly in an effort to locate him.

The indictment also references a troubled past between Razi and Tzarfati, including a police complaint filed by Razi in September 2025, alleging harassment and death threats from her, as well as prior complaints from both parties during their relationship. However, prosecutors say these previous incidents are separate from the events leading to the fatal attack.

Evidence supporting the prosecution’s case includes security camera footage, statements from the defendants describing how the minors armed themselves, partial admissions by the minors, testimony from the surviving friend, phone records, and DNA analysis.

Defense attorneys for one of the minors stated they had not yet reviewed the full investigation materials at the time of the indictment’s filing. They characterized the attack as unplanned and unfolding in real time, denying that their client directly caused Razi’s death and indicating they will present their defense after examining the evidence.

The Jerusalem District Court has been asked to keep all seven defendants in custody until the trial’s conclusion.
