The Six Kings Slam, a high-profile men’s tennis exhibition scheduled to take place in Riyadh, has been postponed following missile attacks on King Khalid International Airport. Originally set for October 21-24, the event has been rescheduled for December 27-30.

The tournament, which features several top-ranked players including world No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic, was expected to attract significant attention due to its large prize pool estimated at around £10 million. Alcaraz and Djokovic were slated as the headline competitors in the three-day event, which is streamed on Netflix.

The decision to delay the tournament came in the wake of weekend missile strikes targeting the airport, which resulted in 14 fatalities and more than 300 injuries. Organizers from Riyadh Season confirmed the postponement, stating that the change was necessary to ensure the event would proceed as planned and deliver the expected experience for participants and viewers.

The Six Kings Slam has previously seen Jannik Sinner take the title twice, both times defeating Alcaraz in the finals. With the rescheduling, the tennis community now anticipates a late-December showdown among some of the sport’s leading players.
