Three of snooker’s most prominent players from the so-called "Class of 92"—Ronnie O’Sullivan, John Higgins, and Mark Williams—face the possibility of completing 2026 without winning a major title. Collectively, the trio has secured 39 Triple Crown tournament victories, including 14 World Championship titles, but so far this calendar year, none have claimed a trophy on the World Snooker Tour.
As the season progresses, O’Sullivan, 50, Higgins, 51, and Williams, also 51, have four remaining opportunities to win a top-ranking event: the International Championship, UK Championship, Shoot Out, and Scottish Open. Should they fail to secure a victory in these tournaments, it would mark the first time since they turned professional that none of the three have captured at least one title in a single year.
O’Sullivan has expressed interest in participating more frequently in Snooker 900 events, which feature shorter 15-minute frames. Higgins has stated his intention to continue competing on the tour as long as he remains competitive, while Williams has taken a more relaxed approach, indicating he plans to play as long as he holds a Tour Card.
The trio’s long-standing prominence in the sport has made this winless stretch notable, underscoring the evolving competitive landscape of professional snooker.
