Snoonu has introduced the Tamkeen: Growth Fund for Local Merchant Partners, a QR2 million program designed to provide upfront capital to local businesses operating on its platform. This initiative targets a range of sectors, including restaurants, cafés, retail outlets, and specialty stores operating within Qatar.
The fund offers eligible merchants financial support ranging from QR5,000 to QR35,000, determined by sales performance metrics. The capital comes without interest, fees, or restrictions on its usage, allowing businesses the flexibility to allocate funds toward expanding operations, upgrading equipment, increasing inventory, or pursuing new business opportunities. Repayment of the fund is structured to be gradual, occurring over a six-month period through standard payout channels.
Hamad al-Hajri, Snoonu’s founder and CEO, emphasized that the fund aims to empower local businesses by providing direct financial assistance that fosters growth and sustainability. Eligibility for the program is evaluated using a transparent scoring system that takes into account factors such as the merchant’s history of partnership with Snoonu, operational performance, and demonstrated business growth.
Applications for the Tamkeen fund are open through the Snoonu Merchant Portal until September 12. The initiative reflects Snoonu’s broader commitment to enhancing Qatar’s local business ecosystem by supporting the development and expansion of its merchant partners.
