Vincent Pastore, known for his role as mobster Salvatore Bonpensiero on the acclaimed HBO series *The Sopranos*, was found dead in his New York home over the weekend. He was 80 years old. Reports indicate that Pastore died peacefully in his sleep from natural causes.

Pastore was a mainstay on *The Sopranos*, appearing in all six seasons of the crime drama from 1999 to 2007. His portrayal of Bonpensiero, a complex character often caught between loyalty and betrayal, was widely recognized by fans and critics alike.

Fellow cast members expressed their condolences and highlighted Pastore’s impact both on and off screen. Michael Imperioli, who played Christopher Moltisanti on the series, described Pastore as a “beloved friend and collaborator” and reflected on their long-standing relationship. “This is a hard one for us, it seems like I’ve known Vinny forever. Lots of good times. Lots of laughs. Vinny was a kind-hearted brother who cared deeply about his family and friends. I will miss him always,” Imperioli said.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who portrayed Meadow Soprano, called Pastore "a wonderful actor, a kind and loving man," and said it was "an honour to know you." Lorraine Bracco, known for her role as Dr. Jennifer Melfi, remembered him as “such a funny and charming man with a beautiful soul.”
