A South Carolina man was arrested after allegedly stealing lottery tickets from a prospective employer during a job interview earlier this year. Antonio Levon Ricardo Stewart was taken into custody last week in connection with the incident, which occurred on May 6, 2025, at a Murphy USA gas station in Florence.
According to authorities, Stewart reportedly took several scratch-off lottery tickets from the gas station while being interviewed for a position. After the alleged theft, he attempted to redeem six of the stolen tickets at three separate retail locations. One of the tickets reportedly yielded a small $5 prize.
Law enforcement officials identified Stewart as the suspect based on surveillance footage and witness statements. He was subsequently charged in connection with the theft and attempts to cash the stolen tickets. Further details about the charges or his court proceedings have not been disclosed.
