Southall moved to within three points of the play-off positions following a commanding 4-0 victory over Hartley Wintney on Saturday. The match, played at Hartley Wintney’s home ground, saw Southall dominate from the outset, overwhelming their opponents with a strong attacking display.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 28th minute when Kensley Maloney found the net, beating Hartley Wintney goalkeeper Liam Beach. Five minutes before halftime, Liam Ferdinand doubled Southall’s lead, providing the team with a comfortable advantage heading into the break. Beach, who has been a regular presence in goal this season, faced a relentless Southall attack that proved difficult to contain.

In the second half, Southall continued to press, and midway through the period Anthony O’Connor scored his first League goal of the season, further extending the lead after once again beating Beach. Substitute Kickie Dzimba made an immediate impact after coming onto the pitch at the 69th minute mark, scoring just two minutes later to complete the scoring for Southall.

The win marks an important step for Southall in their pursuit of a play-off place, reducing the gap to just three points. Hartley Wintney, meanwhile, struggled to respond to the intensity and quality of Southall’s forwards, leaving them with much work to do in upcoming fixtures.
