The decisive goal came early, in the ninth minute, when Eddie Panter skillfully controlled the ball on the right flank before unleashing a precise first-time strike past goalkeeper Redman Evans. Panter remained heavily involved throughout the match, forcing several key saves and narrowly missing an additional goal with a shot that struck the post. Alvechurch pressed for an equalizer, but both defenses held firm amid a scrappy contest that maintained a tense atmosphere until the final whistle.
Anstey Nomads and Leiston played out a 1-1 draw in a stop-start fixture characterized by frequent fouls and interruptions. Anstey took the lead in the first half when Harvey Kirby-Moore headed home an inviting cross from Oscar Tongue. Leiston responded in the second half through Harvey Sayer, who struck a low shot from outside the box to level the scores. Bury Town started their season strongly with a 1-0 home win against Halesowen Town. New signing Sam Ford scored the lone goal after 71 minutes, capitalizing on a well-timed pass from George Quantrell to break a defensive deadlock in a tight and competitive match. Halesowen had early opportunities, notably with Todd Parker’s shots testing Bury’s defense, but were unable to convert.
Real Bedford delivered one of the standout performances of the day with a 4-0 win over Ponticelli. Jordan Ponticelli scored twice, including a close-range finish just before and shortly after halftime. Additional goals came from Conor Tee, who struck a powerful free-kick late in the game, and Ben Stevens, who sealed the victory with a precise finish in the closing moments. Meanwhile, Bromsgrove Sporting overturned an early deficit to claim a 3-1 victory at Needham Market.
