Spalding United secured their first home victory in the National League North with a commanding 3-1 win over Worksop Town on Saturday. The promoted Tulips delivered a confident and controlled performance under manager Jimmy Dean, highlighted by a hat-trick from striker Bartosz Cybulski.

From the early stages, Spalding dominated possession, applying steady pressure on the opposition. The initial chance came when Cybulski forced Worksop’s goalkeeper Max Dearnley to make a save following an Alfie Bendle free-kick. The breakthrough arrived soon after when Bendle’s shot took a deflection and fell kindly to Cybulski, who capitalized to put Spalding ahead.

Eleven minutes later, Spalding doubled their lead through Cybulski again. Ben Fowkes embarked on an impressive forward run before delivering a precise pass to Cybulski, who calmly finished to extend the advantage. The striker completed his hat-trick in the second half after Fowkes drove down the byline and crossed to him, prompting celebrations among the home supporters.

Worksop responded with a goal from Vaughan Redford, who struck a powerful shot into the top corner to reduce the deficit. Despite this, Spalding maintained composure and continued to threaten. Substitute Zaid Betteka, making his home debut, impressed with his swift footwork, creating a notable chance that saw Sam Straughan Brown’s low effort tipped over by Dearnley.

The victory marked a significant milestone for Spalding United as they continue their campaign in the National League North, demonstrating both resilience and attacking prowess against a competitive Worksop Town side.
