The Los Angeles Sparks ended a three-game losing streak with a 106-92 victory over the Indiana Fever on Wednesday night at home. Nneka Ogwumike led the Sparks with 24 points and eight rebounds, while Rae Burrell contributed 22 points and Dearica Hamby added 21. All five Sparks starters scored in double digits, helping the team improve to a 9-11 record.

The Sparks capitalized on 17 turnovers committed by the Fever, converting them into 22 points. Indiana’s All-Star guard Caitlin Clark, playing limited minutes as she returned from a back injury, managed just nine points—her second-lowest total of the season—and posted a minus-16 rating on the floor. Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 29 points. Indiana, which fell to 12-9, was without star center Aliyah Boston due to a lower right leg injury; Fever coach Stephanie White indicated Boston would return for their next game in Phoenix on Thursday.

Los Angeles took control midway through the second quarter, going on a 16-2 run to build an eight-point lead by halftime. They maintained momentum into the third quarter, opening the period with an 18-point burst in the first five minutes that expanded their advantage to 13 points. Although Indiana narrowed the gap to eight, back-to-back three-pointers from Burrell and Kiana Williams late in the quarter helped secure a comfortable margin the rest of the way.

The Sparks were without All-Star guard Kelsey Plum (lower left leg) and center Cameron Brink (left ankle). To compensate, the team extended its bench, giving significant minutes to Alissa Pili, Jihyun Park, and Williams. Pili, recently signed to a developmental contract, made her first WNBA appearance since last September, finishing with four points and five rebounds after recovering from a right ankle injury.

Wednesday’s victory also ended a losing streak against the Fever that dated back to the previous season. The Sparks will continue their three-game homestand with a matchup against the Chicago Sky, who hold a 7-14 record, on Friday.
