1874 Northwich secured a strong start to their season with a 3-0 victory over Rossington Main in their opening match. The contest, held on the eve of the new season, saw debutant Kevin Spinelli make an immediate impact by scoring twice.

Spinelli’s first goal came midway through the first half after capitalizing on a defensive error by Rossington Main. He slid the ball home to give 1874 Northwich the lead. Rossington’s Brad Grayson threatened to equalize shortly afterward but was denied by a decisive save from Max Beddow, the young goalkeeper on loan from Altrincham.

Early in the second half, Spinelli further extended the lead by skillfully beating his marker and firing a left-footed shot past Rossington’s goalkeeper Thomas Wallace. The home side sealed their win in the 53rd minute when Harry Lynn converted a low cross from Niall Osbourne, making it 3-0.

The victory confirmed 1874 Northwich’s progression in the competition and highlighted Spinelli’s promising start following his move from Chasetown. Rossington Main was unable to find a breakthrough despite creating some opportunities, ultimately falling short in the contest.
