The Singapore Open, a longstanding event on the Asian Tour, will enter a new phase next year with German financial institution Deutsche Bank stepping in as the title sponsor. The tournament will also see the return of the DP World Tour as a co-sanctioning body. A multi-year partnership between Deutsche Bank and the DP World Tour was announced this week, with the agreement extending through 2029.

Scheduled to take place from April 15 to 18, the tournament will be held at the Serapong Course at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore. This will mark the first occasion Deutsche Bank has sponsored the Singapore Open, although the bank previously served as title sponsor for the Deutsche Bank Players’ Championship of Europe on the DP World Tour from 1995 to 2007.

Claudio de Sanctis, a member of Deutsche Bank’s Management Board and head of its Private Bank division, highlighted the sponsorship as part of the bank’s broader strategy of supporting global talent and leadership. He emphasized the alignment between the tournament and Deutsche Bank’s commitment to fostering competitive skill and creating meaningful experiences for clients and communities. “We are delighted to support this significant sporting event for golf fans around the Asian region,” de Sanctis said, underscoring the bank’s dedication to Singapore and the role of sport in building connections.

The Singapore Open, first played in 1961, boasts a rich history and a distinguished roster of past champions, including Australian Adam Scott, who holds the record with three titles, and Spain’s Sergio Garcia. With the combined backing of Deutsche Bank and the DP World Tour, the event is poised to attract leading international golf talent and further elevate its profile on the global stage.
