SQUARE Group recently commemorated the 101st birth anniversary of its late founder chairman, Samson H Chowdhury, with a special event held at SFBL Arena on Madani Avenue in Dhaka. The gathering featured the unveiling of a new publication titled "Samson H. Chowdhury: Stories of Uncompromising Integrity," which chronicles the life, career, and guiding principles of the business leader.

The memoir compilation includes personal reflections and accounts from notable figures, including business leaders and close family members, highlighting Samson H Chowdhury’s lasting impact on the company and broader business community. The event’s keynote address was delivered by Tapan Chowdhury, managing director of SQUARE Pharmaceuticals PLC, who shared insights into his grandfather’s legacy. Sanchia Chowdhury, director of SQUARE Fashions Limited, also spoke, offering her perspectives on the founder’s influence.

Mahbubur Rahman, president of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Bangladesh, contributed heartfelt remarks, emphasizing Samson H Chowdhury's role in shaping Bangladesh’s business landscape. Attendees also viewed an excerpt from a documentary film created for the founder’s birth centenary, reflecting on his contributions and principles.

In addition to the commemorative activities, the Anita-Samson Foundation, together with the SQUARE family, announced ongoing social welfare initiatives as part of their enduring tribute to Samson H Chowdhury’s commitment to community development. The foundation and the group continue to support various programs aimed at improving social outcomes in the region.
