A sentencing hearing for Tim Justin Fielding, charged with obstructing a police officer and unlawful stalking, intimidation, harassment, or abuse, was postponed after he requested psychiatric evaluation. Fielding appeared in Noosa Magistrates Court on July 3, where he pleaded guilty to all charges.

Fielding’s solicitor, Matthew Cuskelly, requested a one-week adjournment to allow time for a forensic psychologist to conduct an assessment. Prosecutor Allison Johnstone opposed the delay, citing the anxiety the adjournment had caused the victim and arguing that Fielding had sufficient time to prepare relevant documentation.

Magistrate Chris Callaghan granted the adjournment until July 31 and increased Fielding’s bail conditions. The court did not provide further details on the psychiatric evaluation or the circumstances of the offenses.
