Star Alliance has expanded its presence at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport with the opening of a new lounge in the airport’s recently inaugurated Terminal 3. This development follows the launch of the alliance’s first lounge in Asia at the same airport in 2024.
The opening ceremony was held at the new lounge and attended by Ambaar Franco, Vice-President of Customer Experience at Star Alliance, alongside Qi Yaoming, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. The new facility aims to enhance the travel experience for Star Alliance customers using Terminal 3, one of the major hubs serving the southern Chinese region.
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has been undergoing significant expansion to accommodate increasing passenger traffic and improve services. The addition of the Star Alliance lounge is part of a broader effort to provide premium amenities and strengthen the airport's role as a key transit point in Asia.
Star Alliance is a global airline network comprising multiple member carriers, committed to offering a seamless travel experience through shared facilities and services. The introduction of this lounge in Terminal 3 reflects the alliance’s strategy to increase its footprint in the Asian market, particularly in China’s rapidly growing aviation sector.
