The Gosden stable is also represented in the Princess Royal Stakes by Without Prejudice, a three-year-old filly aiming for her third consecutive win. Without Prejudice broke her maiden impressively over a mile and a quarter on Newmarket’s July course before recording another dominant victory at Windsor. She steps up to a mile and a half for the first time in this race, a distance expected to suit her, particularly given her pedigree as a half-sister to Emily Upjohn.

The Gosdens’ promising day is poised to continue with Gilding The Lily in the Listed Betway British EBF Rosemary Stakes. The filly showed promise after narrowly missing out on the win by a neck on debut at Wolverhampton, subsequently delivering two authoritative wins at Newmarket and Kempton.

Charlie Appleby’s stable, currently enjoying a strong run of form, sends Talk Of New York into the Betway Joel Stakes. The Wootton Bassett colt returned to the track in July with an effortless three-length victory at Newmarket under William Buick. He enhanced his reputation in the Heron Stakes over a mile, securing a berth at the highest level. Though not winning at Group One in the St James’s Palace Stakes, where he finished third, Talk Of New York proved competitive, narrowly beaten by top-class rivals Bow Echo and Gstaad. He also placed second in the Thoroughbred Stakes at Goodwood, demonstrating consistent ability.

In the Betway Godolphin Stakes, Fortitudine, a Dubawi gelding and full brother to Appleby’s globetrotting star Rebel’s Romance, seeks to extend his unbeaten mark. After a stunning 21-length debut victory over the all-weather at Kempton, he secured a more measured two and a quarter-length success at Sunbury. This race will test him at a higher grade and over a longer distance.
