Stephen Bunting was eliminated in the semifinals of the Dutch Darts Championship after a 7-4 defeat to local favorite Niels Zonneveld in Maastricht. The 41-year-old, nicknamed "The Bullet," had advanced to the final four by defeating Australian Damon Heta 6-3 in the quarterfinals.

Bunting’s run in the European Tour event ended as Zonneveld, 28, maintained strong form in front of a home crowd. The Dutch player went on to claim the tournament title, overcoming fellow countryman Danny Noppert 8-5 in the final.

Earlier in the quarterfinals, Ryan Searle was edged out 6-3 by Gian van Veen, while Noppert secured a 6-2 victory over Luke Woodhouse. The event saw an impressive performance from Dutch competitors, who eliminated several British players on their way to the final stages.

The tournament featured a top prize of £35,000, which ultimately went to Zonneveld as he continued his successful run at the Dutch event.
