Soe Travel & Tour Co Ltd (STT) organized a three-day, two-night familiarization trip from October 2 to 4 to promote tourism in Nay Pyi Taw and highlight the city’s local attractions. The event brought together 35 participants, including distinguished guests, tour operators, tourism promotion teams, and members of the media.

The tour began in Yangon, where the group departed by DEMU train to Nay Pyi Taw. Upon arrival, they visited several notable sites on the first day, including the Herbal Garden, Shwe Nan Thwin Pagoda, Letloktaung Tawya Monastery—a forest retreat—and Pobbathiri Night Market. The participants ended the day with an overnight stay at the Uttara Thiri Hotel.

On the second day, the itinerary featured a visit to the Maravijaya Buddha Image, followed by recreational activities and lunch at Ngapali Kantha Resort located on Hlaykhwin Hill. Later, the group toured the Defence Services Museum and the National Museum. The day concluded with dinner accompanied by cultural dance performances at the Thukha Soe Hotel.

The final day’s activities included a visit to the area near Uppatasanti Pagoda, where participants observed the white elephants, considered sacred in local tradition. Before returning to Yangon by DEMU train, the group also made a stop at Myoma Market to shop for local souvenirs.

This initiative aimed to provide a comprehensive exploration of Nay Pyi Taw’s natural landscapes, cultural sites, and historical landmarks within a short period. Additionally, it served as a platform for tour operators and related organizations to exchange experiences and insights, potentially supporting future tourism development in the region.
