New York City police are seeking a suspect involved in an assault on a 65-year-old man aboard a subway train in Manhattan earlier this month. The incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. on June 2, when the victim was riding a northbound 1 train at the 28th Street station. Authorities reported that an unidentified individual pushed the man off the train and onto the station platform.

The victim sustained a head injury and multiple facial fractures as a result of the altercation. Emergency responders transported him to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Following the attack, the assailant fled the scene, and police continue to investigate the case.

The NYPD has not released further details concerning the suspect’s identity or possible motives, and no arrests have been made so far. The incident has raised concerns about passenger safety in the city’s transit system, especially during late-night hours. Investigators are reviewing available evidence and seeking any witnesses or video footage that might assist in identifying the responsible party.
