West Ham United have agreed to sell Dutch forward Crysencio Summerville to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal for a reported £60 million. The deal comprises a £55 million upfront fee with an additional £5 million in potential add-ons, surpassing a previous £39 million offer from Italian side Roma. Other Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Aston Villa, had also expressed interest in the 24-year-old forward.

Summerville, who has three years remaining on his contract at West Ham, became available following the club’s relegation from the Premier League in May. Roma had emerged as the frontrunner to sign the player, but their bid was ultimately overtaken by Al-Hilal’s offer.

The Dutch international is expected to undergo a medical examination before finalizing a long-term contract with the Saudi club. His transfer marks the end of a six-year period in English football since his move from Feyenoord to Leeds United in 2020. During his time at West Ham, Summerville scored eight goals in 56 appearances and notably contributed two goals for the Netherlands at the 2022 World Cup, as the team reached the round of 32.
