Qatar’s Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) reported that the value of assets sold through its online judicial auctions exceeded QR1.3 billion during the second quarter of 2026. The data highlights the continued effectiveness of digital transformation efforts aimed at improving judicial enforcement and court-supervised sales.
In the April to June period, the SJC handled a total of 5,993 enforcement cases, successfully closing 3,308 of them. Judicial auctions featured 2,531 assets offered for sale, with 1,304 assets sold, generating proceeds valued at more than QR1.3 billion. Additionally, 916 parties completed enforcement procedures over the course of the quarter.
Since the inception of its auction platform, the SJC has conducted over 36,500 judicial auctions, covering a broad range of assets across 10 categories. These include real estate, vehicles, heavy equipment, classic cars, jewelry, valuable collectibles, premium vehicle registration plates, livestock, scrap materials, and other public auction items.
The council has significantly expanded its electronic judicial services in recent years, implementing online registration, digital bidding, electronic notifications, and integrated enforcement protocols. These reforms have led to reductions in processing times, improved transparency, and eased administrative workloads, while enhancing accessibility for citizens, residents, businesses, and investors.
Judicial auctions have become a critical mechanism within Qatar’s legal and economic framework. They facilitate the enforcement of court judgments, accelerate debt recovery, and contribute to commercial stability. The strong second-quarter performance reflects persistence in operational efficiency and the successful auctioning of higher-value assets compared to the previous quarter.
While the total number of enforcement cases remained stable, the increase in asset values brought to auction and sold underscores growing investor confidence and public participation in digital auction processes. The results demonstrate the judiciary’s continuing progress in streamlining case closures and asset disposals, reinforcing the role of judicial auctions in supporting Qatar’s resilient economy.
