A Ukrainian woman suspected of involvement in a bomb attack targeting Ukrainian oligarch Vadym Yermolaiev has been found shot dead near Kyiv, according to Ukrainian prosecutors. Anastasiia Berezovska, 39, was discovered with gunshot wounds late on Monday night local time, law enforcement sources reported.

Authorities have detained two individuals connected to Ukraine’s security services in relation to Berezovska’s death. One of the detainees is an employee of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine (HUR), who reportedly admitted to killing Berezovska alongside another suspect described as a law enforcement officer. Both suspects were arrested amid ongoing investigations into the incident.

The alleged assassination attempt on Yermolaiev, a prominent business figure, has drawn significant attention due to its apparent links to internal security entities. While details remain under investigation, the involvement of intelligence personnel raises questions about possible internal disputes or complications within Ukrainian security structures.

Interpol has confirmed that two associates linked to Ukrainian authorities were arrested in connection with Berezovska’s shooting. Investigations are continuing to clarify the motives behind the killing and its connection to the attempted bombing of Yermolaiev.

No official statements have been issued by the Ukrainian government detailing the circumstances of the attack on the oligarch or the subsequent killing of the suspect. The case remains active as authorities work to uncover the full scope of the plot and any potential wider implications.
