Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa met with Qatar’s Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh al-Khulaifi, yesterday to discuss bilateral relations and mutual cooperation. During the meeting, the Qatari minister conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, extending wishes for the president’s health and the continued progress and prosperity of Syria and its people.

In response, President al-Sharaa asked Dr. al-Khulaifi to relay his own greetings to the Amir, along with best wishes for the health and advancement of Qatar. Both officials emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between Syria and Qatar as they explored ways to expand cooperation across various sectors.

The discussions also covered a range of issues of common interest, reflecting a shared commitment to enhancing collaboration in political, economic, and social domains. The meeting underscores ongoing efforts by both nations to deepen diplomatic relations and foster regional stability amid complex geopolitical dynamics in the Middle East.
