The Tamilar Welfare Forum (TWF) in Qatar hosted a blood donation camp on October 23 at the Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Blood Donor Centre in Doha. The event was held in partnership with the Qatar National Blood Donation Centre, aiming to promote voluntary blood donation and raise awareness about maintaining a sufficient blood supply for patients requiring transfusions.

Mydheensha Abdul Kuthooz, president of TWF Qatar, presided over the event and highlighted the humanitarian value of voluntary blood donation, describing it as a vital service that saves lives while fostering stronger community ties. The camp was organised by a team led by Mohamed Musthaba Nagoorgani, a managing committee member of TWF, whose coordination played a key role in the event’s success.

The blood donation drive also saw participation from members of the Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF), including vice-president Rasheed Ahamed and secretary Jafer Thayyil, alongside other managing committee members. Representatives from multiple community organisations attended to show their support for humanitarian efforts and community welfare initiatives in Qatar.

TWF Qatar acknowledged the professional medical assistance and ongoing dedication of HMC’s Qatar National Blood Donation Centre in encouraging voluntary donations across the local population. The forum extended gratitude to all dignitaries, community representatives, volunteers, donors, and supporters whose involvement was integral to the initiative.
