Tan France, the British fashion expert and Netflix’s Queer Eye star, has unveiled his first home collection, an 18-piece range created in collaboration with furniture brand Castlery. The collection reflects France’s British-South Asian heritage while incorporating a mid-century modern aesthetic with a transatlantic influence.

Drawing from personal experiences including his upbringing, extensive travels, and lively personality, the collection merges cultural motifs and design elements. Notable features include South Asian-inspired pointed arches, a spice kitchen concept, and Tudor-style beams reminiscent of France’s Salt Lake City residence. Among the signature pieces are the Anika table lamp, which blends South Asian scalloped patterns with British colonial style, and the Reya vase, designed to evoke the flow and drape of a sari.

France has described home-making as a core part of his identity, shaped by his mother’s emphasis on order and the emotional impact a well-maintained living space can have. Prior to his rise to fame on Queer Eye, France worked in fashion in London and New York. He now focuses on design projects alongside his family life with his husband and their two children.

The designer advocates for homes that express personality and strongly discourages décor trends he views as generic or uninspired, specifically cautioning against popular slogans such as “Live Laugh Love.” The Tan France home collection is currently available for purchase on Castlery’s website.

Looking ahead, France and his family plan to relocate to New York while constructing a new home in upstate New York.
