The Myanmar Tatmadaw Friendship Football Team returned to Myanmar on the evening of October 24 following participation in a friendly football tournament held in India. The event was organized to foster goodwill and strengthen ties between the armed forces of Myanmar and India.

The team was led by Major General Thein Naing from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and included 30 members, comprising officials, coaches, and players. During the tournament, the team competed in two matches against Indian armed forces football teams, held on October 21 and October 23.

Upon arrival at Nay Pyi Taw Airport, the delegation was welcomed by Lieutenant General Pyae Sone Lin of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), who also commands the Nay Pyi Taw Command, along with other officials.

In addition to their participation in the matches, the team took the opportunity to visit several cultural and religious sites in Bengaluru, including the Iskcon Temple, Nandroling Monastery, and Mysore Palace. The visit aimed to enhance mutual understanding and camaraderie beyond the football field, contributing to the broader goal of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries’ military forces.
