Team Qatar GT is set to launch its 2026 European Le Mans Series campaign this weekend at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The opening round of the endurance racing championship will take place from April 10 to 12 in Barcelona, where the team has been preparing since arriving last week for the official Prologue pre-season test.

Competing in the GT category, Team Qatar GT is collaborating with the Italian outfit Iron Lynx. The driver lineup features Abdulla al-Khelaifi, Julian Hanses, and Adam Christodoulou, who will share driving duties throughout the season.

The Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) underscored the team’s readiness following comprehensive preparations and productive testing sessions. In a statement, the federation emphasized the team’s focus on delivering a strong performance against a competitive field of international endurance racing teams. They expressed the aspiration to make an immediate impact at the season opener and to proudly represent Qatar on the European racing stage.

The 2026 European Le Mans Series calendar consists of six rounds held at renowned circuits across Europe. After Barcelona, the series will visit Paul Ricard in France on May 3, Imola in Italy on July 5, Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium on August 23, Silverstone in the United Kingdom on September 13, and conclude at Portimao, Portugal, on October 10.
