A 19-year-old man was charged following a traffic stop in Sydney’s inner-city suburb of Surry Hills early Sunday morning, after police allegedly found a quantity of drugs, cash, and a weapon in his vehicle. Authorities pulled over a Hyundai hatchback at around 2 a.m. after reports of dangerous driving.
During the stop, police reportedly discovered 31 small bags of cocaine, with an estimated street value of approximately $9,300. Officers also seized more than $14,300 in cash and a knife. The driver was subsequently charged with possession of a knife in a public place, supplying a prohibited drug, dealing with the proceeds of crime, and negligent driving.
