The Department of Urban and Housing Development, operating under Myanmar’s Ministry of Construction, has issued invitations for tenders from Myanmar citizen developers to undertake public rental housing projects in Yangon and Mandalay. These projects are planned as part of the Union Capital Expenditure budget for the 2026-2027 financial year.
The scope of work involves partition and enclosure construction on the ground floors of multiple five-storey buildings in designated rental housing estates. Specifically, Lots 1 through 4 cover 25 five-storey buildings, each comprising four units, located at the Thuka Dagon Public Rental Housing in Dagon Myothit (South) Township, Yangon Region. In Mandalay Region’s Patheingyi Township, Lot 5 includes work on 29 five-storey buildings, while Lot 6 covers 27 five-storey buildings, both part of the Mingalar Yankin Public Rental Housing estate.
Interested developers can obtain tender forms from May 12 to May 25. Submissions of tender proposals are due by 3 p.m. on May 26. Details concerning the opening of tenders, including the date, time, and venue, will be disclosed at a later time.
