The Directorate of Water Resources and Improvement of River Systems (DWIR) has announced a call for tenders for various projects focused on riverbank protection, waterway enhancement, and solar-powered dredging across nine regions and states in Myanmar. These initiatives are slated for the 2026-2027 fiscal year under the Union capital budget.

The projects will span the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, Yangon, Ayeyawady, Bago, Magway, Mandalay, and Sagaing regions, as well as Kachin State and Shan State, specifically Tachilek. The scope of the tenders includes the procurement of construction materials, full project contracts, and the rental of Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) services.

Interested parties must submit their tender bids by 3:30 p.m. on October 15. The bid opening is scheduled for 10 a.m. on October 20 at the DWIR headquarters, located at 400 Lower Pazundaung Road, Pazundaung Township, Yangon.
