For the Colts, much of their season may hinge on the performance of Jones, a former Giants quarterback, who faces the difficult task of overcoming a porous defense and an offense that has been compromised by injuries. The team’s future is also influenced by a trade made last year involving cornerback Sauce Gardner, a move that has yet to yield positive results.
