Texas A&M University at Qatar held its commencement ceremony, celebrating the achievements of 154 engineering graduates who completed their studies in various disciplines including chemical, electrical, mechanical, and petroleum engineering. The ceremony also honoured students who earned master’s degrees in chemical engineering, marking the culmination of their academic pursuits and dedication.

During the event, Wala Abdelhalim, speaking on behalf of the graduating class, reflected on the personal growth and collective experiences shared by the students throughout their time at the university. Abdelhalim emphasized the importance of resilience and responsibility learned during their studies, stating that these lessons transcend academic knowledge and are integral to their future contributions.

Dr. Cesar Octavio Malavé, dean of Texas A&M at Qatar, addressed the graduates, urging them to apply the knowledge, resilience, and values acquired at the institution as they embark on their professional careers. He underscored the significance of carrying forward the lessons learned beyond the classroom environment.

The ceremony also featured the formal induction of the new graduates into The Association of Former Students. Mohammed al-Shareef, a 2012 alumnus and president of the Qatar A&M Club, welcomed the graduates into Texas A&M University’s global alumni network, which includes more than 500,000 former students worldwide. This induction symbolically connects the new graduates to a broad and influential community, offering ongoing support as they transition into their careers.
