Nearly 61 years after its initial release, the Beatles’ sixth studio album, *Rubber Soul*, is poised to return to the top of the charts. Originally released in December 1965, the album spent eight weeks at number one in Britain and also achieved the top position in the United States. The newly reissued edition, featuring a collection of early session recordings, is set to secure the number one spot once again.

The updated release includes 24 early recordings, with 20 of these takes previously unheard by the public. The album has been remixed by Giles Martin, son of the Beatles’ original producer George Martin, who has provided new stereo and Dolby Atmos versions alongside the original mono mix. In addition to the session recordings, the reissue offers three previously unreleased home demos, expanding the classic work for both new listeners and longtime fans.

According to the Official Charts, *Rubber Soul* is currently positioned to top the album charts for the week, competing primarily with the English indie band Blossoms and their album *Songs From The Wedding Cake*. The final rankings are expected to be announced on Friday. Should it reach number one, this would mark the Beatles’ first chart-topping album since October 2019, when *Abbey Road* returned to the summit.

*Rubber Soul* originally featured a dozen tracks primarily written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, with two compositions by George Harrison. The album included iconic songs such as “In My Life” and “Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown).” The new edition, released by Apple Corps Ltd and Universal, also contains early versions of “Day Tripper” and “We Can Work It Out,” as well as a previously unheard demo of Lennon’s “Little Girl.”

This reissue provides a comprehensive look at one of the Beatles’ most influential albums, combining nostalgic appeal with enhanced sound quality and rare archival material.
