The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort is commemorating its 20th anniversary this June with a series of special events and a collaborative capsule collection with French swimwear brand Vilebrequin. Since opening two decades ago on a private motu in French Polynesia, the resort has established itself as a benchmark for island luxury, blending its natural surroundings and Polynesian culture with refined hospitality.
Situated facing the iconic volcanic peak of Mount Otemanu, the resort features 90 villas, including some of the South Pacific’s largest overwater bungalows as well as garden villas fragrant with native tiare and frangipani flowers. Central to the guest experience is St. Regis’s signature butler service, designed to provide attentive and personalized care throughout a stay.
A notable feature of the property is the Lagoonarium, a protected marine sanctuary home to more than 150 species of tropical fish and coral. Among the residents is Moana, a Napoleon fish central to the resort’s biodiversity showcase. The resort’s spa is located on a private islet within the Lagoonarium and offers treatments that blend French expertise with traditional Tahitian rituals.
Culinary offerings at the resort encompass French, Asian, and Italian influences alongside events celebrating Polynesian culture. Dining options are varied and bespoke, ranging from breakfast served by outrigger canoe to private beachside dinners. The resort also hosts special ceremonies, including vow renewals and traditional Polynesian weddings, set against the backdrop of the lagoon and Mount Otemanu.
The anniversary celebrations planned for June 2026 include exclusive experiences and gastronomic events, but the highlight is a limited-edition capsule collection developed with Vilebrequin. Known for its vibrant color schemes and Saint-Tropez-inspired designs, Vilebrequin has collaborated with several St. Regis properties globally. This partnership reflects a mutual commitment to craftsmanship and thoughtful leisure.
The collection features a unique print created expressly for the anniversary, incorporating elements that define both the resort and its environment. Dominated by shades of blue symbolizing the lagoon’s waters, the design includes Mount Otemanu, overwater bungalows, palm trees, coral gardens, sea turtles, and the tiare flower—an important cultural symbol of welcome and grace in Tahiti. The print also highlights marine life such as Moana the Napoleon fish and motifs referencing the resort’s environmental initiatives, including its sustainability program Natura Ora and partnerships with Te Mana O Te Moana and the Vilebrequin Foundation.
Through these celebrations and collaborations, The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort underscores its enduring connection to the island’s natural beauty and cultural heritage as it marks two decades of operation in French Polynesia.
